Start at http://www.lizardmusic.com/, then click "Artists Area" in the header. Log in to your account using your artist name and password. The initial password was sent in your confirmation e-mail.

Once you have succesfully logged in you should get a pop-up window with the Artist Control Panel. The Control Panel consists of seven areas listing your information and allowing you to modify one piece at a time.

• Status: View statistics and information on what you've sold and how many people track your events.

• Artist: Edit your artist name, image or logo, description, and the genres under which you appear.

• Contact: Change your password and the contact information for Lizard Music to reach you (which we won't abuse and will never ever sell). There's a separate information section for your fans - for fan mail of course!

• Members: List your members information and their pictures, fully clothed, please.

• Items: List your CDs, t-shirts and other memorabilia for sale. Please make sure to send us at least five of any item you list so that we can fulfill the orders quickly and efficiently. If you have the music but haven't made a CD yet check out our Burn to Order service.

• Events: Let fans know when and where you are playing or otherwise appearing. This is the best way to turn new Lizard Music viewers into fans!

• Extras: Add links to your webpage, full-length MP3 files, reviews, fan sites, or anything else your fans will dig.

Inside the big block of text you can include any and all the HTML you may desire. The only think we ask is that you put links in the Extras rather than inside the info block. See the next question.

1. First, Sign Up to get yourself listed. You will receive an e-mail message with your initial password.
2. Come back to the Artists Area and login using your name and the password sent in the e-mail.
3. Go to the Contact tab and change your password to something only you know.
4. Go to the Status and enable sales.
5. Go to the Items page and define the item you wish to sell and the price you wish to sell it at.
6. Send several items (usually 5) to the address listed in the next question.

After creating an item, you should immediately ship at least 5 of the item to

You are not required to sell things to have list your act here. The site is absolutely free to anybody involved in Independent Music. You are welcome to keep a home page here, provide music samples and list your events.

You can sell just about anything. T-shirts, posters, bumper stickers. For DJs and techno or hard house artists, we can safely ship vinyl.

If you supply an unwrapped disk to sample from, we create MP3 and RealMedia sound bytes for each track of your CD. If you would prefer to provide your own MP3 and RealAudio samples for the site, read these notes.

In the Artist Control Panel you'll find an Extras page. This page allows you to link to anything, anywhere.
